  • Summer: Climbs run until 8:30 pm, with most days opening at 11 am. Weekends open at 10 am, and every day opens at 10 am between 24 July and 31 August.
  • From 6 November: Doors open at 11 am and close at 6 pm. On Saturdays, hours extend from 10 am to 7 pm.
  • Closures: Up at The O2 is closed on most Tuesdays, from 2 to 5 November, and on 24, 25, 26 and 31 December. It reopens from 27 to 30 December, 11 am to 6 pm.
  • The O2: The wider venue welcomes visitors daily from 10 am to 10 pm. Hours for individual restaurants, bars and leisure venues may vary.

  • Weekdays: Weekdays are calmer, with fewer visitors heading to The O2 area and a more relaxed check-in. Most weekdays open at 11 am, and Tuesdays are closed for much of the year, so Monday, Wednesday, and Friday are your best bets. Sunset is the most popular slot and often sells out first, so a daytime or twilight climb is the easier choice.
  • Weekend: Weekends are busier, and Saturdays in particular can mean long waits. Climbs start earlier, at 10 am, so an early slot is the best way to beat the crowds. Summer and school holidays are the busiest times of all, while autumn and winter are quieter but cooler and windier.

  • Peak season: Summer, from late spring to August, is the busiest time to climb. Climbs run until 8:30 pm, and every day opens at 10 am from 24 July to 31 August. Highs average around 23°C. Sunset climbs sell out first, so book early.
  • Low season: Autumn and winter, from October to February, are the quietest months. Climbs close between 6 pm and 7 pm, with Tuesday closures and a Christmas break. From January to mid-February, climbs run on Fridays to Sundays only. Expect cooler, windier conditions, with highs around 9°C.
