Tower Bridge entrance guide | Which gate to use & why

Quick overview

  • The Tower Bridge entrance for all ticket types is located on the west side of the North Tower, inside the landmark Tower Bridge.
  • As you approach, you’ll see visitors naturally funnelling toward a single queue area beneath the stone arches. For the smoothest entry, use the dedicated lane for pre-booked timed tickets.
  • Guided tours usually gather a short walk from the entrance point before being led in together, following instructions shared on your voucher or by the guide.
  • Wheelchair users can use the same main Tower Bridge entrance, with step-free access and lifts located immediately inside the North Tower.
  • Everyone must complete a security check before entry. Arriving around 15 minutes early helps keep things relaxed, especially during peak hours.

How many entrances are there at Tower Bridge?

Tower Bridge keeps things simple with a single public entrance for all exhibition areas, including the Glass Walkways, Towers, and Engine Rooms.

This means there is no choice of multiple gates. Every visitor, whether pre-booked, guided, or walk-in, arrives at the same Tower Bridge entrance and then follows different queue lanes based on ticket type.
