Hello! My visit to Madame Tussauds was a wonderful experience from beginning to end. The entrance process was quick and completely hassle-free, with friendly and helpful staff who made everything easy and pleasant. Inside, the museum was well-organized, and each section offered something unique and exciting. The wax figures looked incredibly realistic, and it was fun to take photos and interact with the exhibits. The whole visit felt immersive and enjoyable, and it truly brightened my day. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Visiting the London Eye and SEA LIFE London Aquarium was a fantastic double Tokyo-day of iconic sights and immersive experiences. The London Eye delivered spectacular, panoramic views of London’s skyline—stunning at sunset and a photographer’s dream. The capsule was comfortable, the lines moved efficiently with pre-booked tickets, and the vantage points over Westminster and the River Thames were unforgettable. SEA LIFE London Aquarium offered a immersive counterpoint with diverse habitats, from tropical sharks to playful penguins. The exhibits were engaging for all ages, with informative displays and interactive features that kept the curiosity high. The location on the South Bank is ideal for a stroll along the river, with plenty of dining options nearby

I was surprised by how quickly we were able to get into the Sunny attraction even though the place was very crowded. The London Eye was truly impressive, with its spectacular views and high-quality facilities. It’s worth going up both during the day and at night.

We had a great outing and especially kids they absolutely loved every moment. The fast track option was really useful and helped to skip the long queues, making the experience much smoother. There are so many rides and attractions that a single day trip doesn’t feel like enough to cover everything. Overall, it was an amazing experience and definitely a must-visit destination for a fun family outing.

Unfortunately, the groups for the guided tours are too large; I could only catch half of what was being said. So I had to buy an audio guide as well and ended up missing out on the entertaining commentary. Be sure to allow plenty of time—there’s a lot to see.

Arriving early helps—but only if you book your ticket in advance. The line to exit the tower was really very long... There are plenty of stairs to climb. For kids, there’s a stamp hunt (why only for kids?) at various spots throughout the towers. The highlight was, of course, the glass floor, though stepping onto it definitely takes some courage. The engine room is a short walk from the towers, just around the corner. There, you can marvel at the art of construction and engineering. The smell of lubricating oil and the highly polished parts have a certain charm and also make for great photo opportunities.

Best times to enjoy night views at the London Eye

The opportunity to enjoy a night view from the London Eye depends on a combination of sunset times and the attraction's seasonal operating hours.

Autumn & winter (September to March)

This is the best time of year for a night view. The London Eye's hours are typically shorter during this period, often closing around 6pm. However, sunset occurs much earlier, from as early as 4pm in December.

Best time to visit: Book a ride for the late afternoon, between 4pm and 5pm, to ensure you are in the capsule after sunset. You can enjoy the city lights at their fullest without staying out late.

Spring & summer (April to August)

During the summer months, the London Eye extends its operating hours, often staying open until 8:30pm. However, with sunset occurring as late as 9pm in June and July, true night views are only possible in the final moments of operation.

Best time to visit: To get a full night view, you will need to book one of the last few tickets of the day. A great compromise is to book a ride just before sunset, allowing you to witness the magical transition from golden hour to a fully lit cityscape.

Nights, camera, action: Photography tips for the London Eye at night

  • Stabilize your shot: For sharper night photos, use a mini-tripod or gorillapod, or brace your camera/phone against the glass.
  • Use night mode/low light settings: Most smartphones have excellent 'Night Mode' features. If using a DSLR, increase your ISO, use a wide aperture (low f-number), and adjust shutter speed as needed.
  • Reduce reflections: Press your lens directly against the glass to minimize reflections from inside the capsule. Wear dark clothing to further reduce your own reflection in the glass.
  • Focus on the city, not just the capsule: While it's tempting to get the whole capsule in, focus on the city lights outside. Look for iconic landmarks like the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, and the Shard as they illuminate.
  • Experiment with exposure: Night photography can be tricky. Take multiple shots with slightly different exposure settings to capture the depth and brilliance of the city lights.
