  • Since the London Eye is a popular experience, the queue can take anywhere between 30 minutes to one hour. Expect longer queues on school holidays, long weekends, during the summer, and on bank holidays. To avoid the queues, book fast-track tickets.
  • Children between the age groups of 3 and 15 can avail of the London Eye discount price. Children below the age of 3 can enter for free.
  • Standard tickets, fast-track tickets, and champagne experience tickets can be canceled 24 hours in advance to get a full refund. Combo tickets, on the other hand, cannot be canceled or rescheduled.
  • You also need to head to the Ticket Office when you book VIP Experiences 30 minutes prior to check-in. You will need to bring your confirmation letter and/or reference number, as well as the card that was used to make the purchase.

Duration: The standard London Eye ride lasts for 30 minutes

Best time to visit: Target a time slot between 11:30am to 12:30pm from November to March, or between 12:30pm to 1:30pm from April to October. The sun is at its highest around this time and therefore is least likely to interfere with your view.

  • By train/tube: The tube stations that can take you to the London Eye, going from closest to farthest, are Waterloo, Embankment, Charing Cross, and Westminster. The nearest rail station to London Eye is Waterloo. 
  • By bus: Bus numbers 211, 77, and 381 take you to the London Eye. 
  • By car: If you arrive by car, take the A3212 and the A302 to get to the London Eye.
  • By hop-on hop-off bus: By Big Bus Tours and Golden Tours the closest Stop is London Eye in red route. Same with City Sightseeing, Tootbus in blue route.

  • Wi-Fi: London Eye provides Wi-Fi to all guests via partner O2. The Wi-Fi is accessible from the Ticket Office and works inside all 32 pods on the London Eye.
  • Toilets and baby-changing facilities: There are male, female, and accessible toilet facilities available in the London Eye Ticket Office. Baby-change facilities are also available. There are no toilet facilities on board the London Eye itself. 
  • Refreshments: Food and drink options are available from the London Eye gift shop at the exit.
  • Binoculars: You can pre-order your mini-binoculars when booking online or buy them on-site at one of the Gift shops.​ Remember to collect them from the gift shop next to the ticket office before you enter the queue line.
  • Luggage facility: While the London Eye does not have lockers, there is a left luggage facility in the main ticket office in County Hall, where you can pay to leave your luggage for the day whilst you visit The London Eye or any other of the Merlin attractions.
