There is limited wheelchair access at the Tower of London. Both entrances to the Tower are accessible. However, since it is a historic building, there are stairs and cobblestone paths that may be hard to navigate.
If you have a skip-the-line access ticket, you can enter the Tower of London through the West Gate.
All Tower of London guided tours begin at the West Gate entrance.
You can use either the West Gate entrance or the Middle Drawbridge entrance as both are wheelchair accessible.
You can enter the Tower of London at either entrance if you already have tickets. However, we recommend using the Middle Drawbridge entrance as you can expect shorter queue times.
You can purchase tickets at the ticket counter located near the West Gate entrance. However, it is recommended to book your tickets in advance to guarantee entry and avoid waiting in lines.
For large groups, you can use the Middle Drawbridge entrance.
Book your tickets online before your visit to avoid waiting in lines at the ticket counter. For added benefit, you can book skip-the-line tickets and bypass queues, saving substantial amounts of time. If not, we recommend you use the Middle Drawbridge and enter using pre-booked tickets.
Visit the Tower of London right as it opens at 9am or 10am (depending on the season) to encounter the least amount of crowds and the smallest queues. Book early-access entry tickets to be among the first to enter the Tower without any crowds.
